Liana's History

Liana came to us in October of 2004. She was purchased from breeders Heike and Burkhard Bluemke of Ontario, Canada.

We purchased her due to her excellent bloodlines and her potential of creating a jumping line for us. Liana is out of Limmat who is by Topas II and by Hansel who is out of Heimische *E* by Merkur *E*.

I started Liana under saddle at 3 due to her size and great temperment. She proved to be very kind and was always willing to please and go forward. In 2008 we took Liana to the Annual Trakehner Convention in Los Angeles to have her inspected. She got great scores and we received tons of wonderful comments plus inquiries to purchase her which we had to decline. Her scores were 8,8,7,7,7,6,7 with a total of 50 points which put her into the Official Stud Book for the American Trakehner Association.

Some comments from the judge Sam Eidt were: Good head and gender type, short croup with good connection, nice slope of pelvis.

Our hope for Liana is to fulfill our dream of having a Hunter/Jumper and Eventing line with foals that will succeed at an international level. Liana has been bred to Martini for a 2010 foal.
