Ossette's History

Ossette is Top Priority Trakehner's first foal. She is the product of a perfect match up of Ogellee and the approved American Trakehner Association stallion Kovington.

Ossette has been shown in halter classes and will be shown in 2009 at Training Level in Dressage.

In 2008 we took Ossette to the ATA Annual Convention where she was inspected. We had great remarks from everyone wherever we went inlcuding Helen Gibble and Gisela Gunia from the Trakehner Verband. By far what we heard the most was that she was so sweet and easy to handle. We participated in the Mare Show and Anna rode her in a dressage suitability class where she placed 3rd after only 6 months of being under saddle. Jean Brinkman who judged us had wonderful comments and really loved how sweet she was.

She did great in her inspection despite losing about 100 lbs after the long haul from Montana to California which was about 1,400 miles, 3 days and a temperature change from 38 degrees to 92 degrees. Her scores we 7,7,6,7,7,6,7 with a total of 47 which puts her in the Official Stud Book for the American Trakehner Association.

Ossette continually amazes us with her floating trot and beautiful movement. She continually shows her dam's impeccable temperament and people always stop to watch her move and comment on how lovely she is.

Our plans for Ossette is to continue to ride her and strive for Grand Prix in the Dressage ring. We will breed her via embryo transfer to create and excellent dressage line with foals that will follow in her footsteps as well as her sire's, Kovington.
